Meet the members of the Holland Landing Animal Hospital
Dr. Christina A. Watson – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
After graduating from the Ontario Veterinary College in 1980, Kirsty started her career in her hometown of Brampton. From there, she moved to Windsor to become the first female veterinarian to manage the Humane Society animal hospital. In 1989, she was lucky enough to move to Newmarket and become a partner , then owner of the Holland Landing Animal Hospital. Dr. Watson and her husband live on a farm near Cookstown where they have raised ostriches and Oldenburg horses. She loves to garden ,take walks with the dogs in the woods on the farm and ride her horse Bentley. They share the farm with the dogs- Alfalfa,Peaches and Beezie, 2 cats- Chipmunk and BunBun , 3 horses and a donkey named Meatball |
Dr. Kirk Kolas – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kolas graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2002. Upon graduating, Dr. Kolas worked in Mississauga at the Glen Erin Animal Hospital. In 2007 we were fortunate enough to have Dr. Kolas join our team. When you are in the clinic you are more than likely to run into Dr. Kolas, as he is our full-time veterinarian. When your pet is in Dr. Kolas' care you can take comfort in knowing your pet is receiving exceptional veterinary care. When Dr. Kolas is not at work he enjoys watching movies and swimming with his son Oliver, his daughter Charlotte and his beautiful wife Natasha. Dr. Kolas also enjoys walking and being outdoors with his dog Piper. |
Dr. Paul Venditti – Doctor of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Paul grew up in Etobicoke, Ontario. He received a Bachelor of Sciences degree from the University of Guelph and was accepted to the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) program. Graduating OVC 2012 he then moved to PEI to complete a 1-yr companion animal surgery and medicine internship at the Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC). Dr. Paul moved to Nova Scotia where he practiced as a small animal locum and emergency veterinarian. During this time Paul realized his interest in dermatology, internal medicine and preventative care. In 2015 Dr. Paul moved back to Ontario working full time as a small animal associate veterinarian. In those 5 years Paul has gained a keen desire to help itchy animals with allergies but also gained more experience in general surgery, dental assessment, and treatment. Focusing on client education, preventative care and overall pet comfort, Dr. Paul is excited to offer the best medicine options to your furry loved ones. Dr. Paul lives in Keswick with his wife Jody and their three cats, Squish, Bear and Dummie. He spends his free time playing tennis, hockey, ultimate frisbee and gardening, but especially enjoys hiking and the splendors of Northern Ontario. |
Lindsey Quinsey - Registered Veterinary Technician
Lindsey graduated from Northern College with Honours in 2005. She returned to Northern College to receive her certificate in Wildlife Rehabilitation. After working for a short time in wildlife rehabilitation, Lindsey made the switch to small animal medicine. She worked for almost 10 years at the Veterinary Emergency Clinic of York Region. Where her passion for emergency and critical care was developed. Lindsey joined the Holland Landing team in 2015, bringing with her a drive to help pets and there owners in times of emergency. Lindsey is the mom to two small human children and two fur children dog Gage and cat Tye, so when she’s not working you will likely find her with her family, or at the gym. |
Caitlin Johnston – Registered Veterinary Technician
Caitlin joined the Holland Landing Animal Hospital team in the fall of 2013 as an RVT, after doing her high school Co-op at the clinic in 2008. She graduated with honors from Georgian College ’s Veterinary Technician program in 2011. Her veterinary interests include emergency medicine and behavior. Caitlin lives on the lake with her three dogs Flynn, Fergus and Hailey, and her cat Julius. In her spare time Caitlyn enjoys playing hockey, kayaking, yoga and hiking. |
Caterina Marsiglio – Veterinary Technician
Caterina joined our team at the beginning of 2012 as veterinary assistant. After doing a 5 month co-op with us during her senior year of high school, she was asked to stay on as part of our team. Caterina then went on to complete the Veterinary Technician program at Georgian College. She graduated in 2017. When Caterina is in the clinic you can count on your pet being spoiled. Caterina lives in Innisfil with her fiance Jamie and their Portuguese Water Dog Chaplin. When she is not working Caterina can be found hanging out with friends and family, going to country music concerts, fishing, camping and spending endless hours at the barn with her horse Jimmy. |
Jody Kocsis – Veterinary Technician
Jody joined the Holland Landing Animal Hospital team in the spring of 2019. She has a wealth of experience working with a wide variety of animals in both clinical and wildlife educational settings. After receiving her bachelor of sciences degree at the University of Guelph she moved to Alberta to complete a wildlife rehabilitation internship. She then returned to Ontario to complete the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College. Following the completion of the program at Seneca she proceeded to become the head technician of the Avian/Exotic/Wildlife/Zoo department at the Atlantic Veterinary College in PEI. She has since spent the last 4 years in small animal general practice and is excited to bring her experience and friendly disposition to the Holland Landing Animal Hospital Team. She lives with her husband Paul and their 3 cats Squish, Bear and Dummie. When she is not diligently working to care for our patients she enjoys snuggling her kitties with a good book, hiking in Northern Ontario and gardening. |
Kim Bromell – Office Manager
Kim has been a hard-working, dedicated part of the team at the Holland Landing Animal Hospital since 1996. She is always working on ways to make the clinic work smoother and to make your visit with us as positive as possible. She lives in Innisfil with her daughter Danielle, her Yellow Labrador Sherman, her Black Labrador Budweiser, the forever attention seeking, mischievous feline Elmer and her two budgies Freddie Mercury and Elton John. In Kim’s spare time, she likes to travel the world with Danielle, spend quiet time with Sherman and Bud by the lake and hide from their cat. Megan Thompson – Veterinary Assistant
Megan joined the Holland Landing Animal Hospital in September of 2019. She did an online course for vet assistant at Ashworth College. Megan has been around animals her entire life. Her first love of animals were horses. She worked on a horse farm for many years and fell in love with the work and decided to push herself to see if she could get a job helping small and large animals. Megan has now worked in small animal clinics for many years. Megan since then has added a tiny human Hunter into her life with her two dogs Scrappy-Doo & Copper and her four cats Kitten,Binx,Chex & Toby. When not at work she is at the chaos of her own house. |
Judy Doyle – Receptionist
Judy has been a client at the Holland Landing Animal Hospital for more than 20 years and has just recently joined our staff as a receptionist. Judy lives with her husband Jim and daughter Rebecca. Judy has two cats, Rigby and Waters. Judy bred Golden Retrievers for about 10 years. On occasion we get a visit from Judy’s grandbird Miss Twist, a little Green-cheeked Conure, and her friend Bageera, a big black cat. These pets belong to her daughter Colleen, who is away at school. When Judy is not playing with her cats she enjoys gardening, music and reading. You can always count on your pets receiving extra love and attention when Judy is around. |
